Meet Chef Michael H. Mathews

Chef Michael H. Mathews, our owner and executive chef, began his career in Michigan and relocated to Houston in 1980. At the Houston Country Club, he excelled in various kitchen roles, earning the title of Executive Sous Chef. His impressive journey includes leading culinary teams at Mingalone’s Italian Bar and Grill, Bentwater Yacht and Country Club, and Cardinal Culinary Services before founding Catering by Chef Michael in 2011 and Chef Michael’s Gourmet Kitchen in 2013.
